Tess Begg is a super talented Instagram and Youtube blogger from Australia. Her pictures and videos are nothing short of inspiring, showcasing her plant-based diet, active lifestyle, travel adventures and life by the beach!
We chatted to Tess about her lifestyle, inspiration and blogging...
When did you start blogging on Instagram and YouTube and what inspired you to start?
I began my social media journey on Instagram in late 2014 and on YouTube in early 2015. I love being creative, taking photos, filming, cooking & fitness so I wanted to share it all with everyone in hope they would be inspired too.
How long have you been vegan and what inspired you?
I became vegan on November 1st 2014 as I could no longer support animal cruelty. I was vegetarian prior to that for a few months but once I found out that the dairy/egg industry is just as cruel I had to go vegan. I came across the veganeasy.org 30 day challenge and I was determined to change for life. It's been almost 3 years and I have never looked back since.
What are the biggest challenges and greatest rewards of being a food/lifestyle blogger?
I love the connections you can make with people, I've made some amazing close friendships from Instagram. I don't particularly find it challenging :)
What are some things you like to do in your spare time?
I love to go to the gym, beach, markets, cafes/restaurants, visit family and friends.
You’re lucky enough to live in beautiful Sydney! What is your favourite thing about living there and where is your favourite place to eat?
The only thing keeping me in Sydney is the family & friends I have here.. Sydney is a great place but my hometown Gold Coast has my heart. I do love Sydney beaches & food spots but the vibes overall are different. My favourite place to eat is Kindness Cafe in Darlinghurst. The BEST Thai food and the staff are such kind-hearted people!
What’s your favourite go-to breakfast?
Definitely açai bowls or green smoothie bowls.
What are three ingredients you can't live without?
Currently is açai, mangoes & goji berries but there are so many more!
You are an inspiration to so many people! We'd love to know who inspires you?
I've always been quite self-inspired and driven and my dad has motivated me from the beginning.
You serve up some pretty amazing dishes in our Coconut Bowls! What has been your favourite so far?
Definitely my endless amounts açai bowls!
What is your favourite thing about your Coconut Bowls?
I love that they are eco friendly and cute! The fact that you can turn a waste product into a bowl is amazing.
Thanks Tess! Big love from Coconut Bowls ❤
